Laura Dunlop, the first person hired by Mobile Meals in 1976, was honored as “2011 Veteran of the Year” by the Veterans Service Commission of Summit County at a dinner reception held at VFW Firestone Post #3383 on October 20th.
Laura was honored as the 22nd Veteran of the Year for her work with Veterans and throughout our entire community. Some years ago, she initiated the annual Summit County Stand Down to assist homeless and displaced Veterans of Summit County.
During her 20-year stay at Mobile Meals, Laura filled a number of roles, including secretary, office manager, director of client relations and program director.
