Board of Directors: Member Spotlight – Bonnie Gardner

Board of Directors: Member Spotlight
Bonnie Gardner

Became a Board Member: 2010

Board Committees: Annual Golf Outing Committee and QA Committee

Employment: Director Nursing / Patient Services on a Medical/Surgical Unit Akron General Medical Center

Why I Became a Board Member? I was interested in community involvement. As an RN, Mobile Meals seemed to be the perfect fit. It is important that patients have proper nutrition to promote the healing process.

My Contribution to the Board: This has been a learning process for me. My medical background I feel is a plus, because I understand the needs of the clients.

Mobile Meals Has Helped: My husband is retired and a diabetic. When he first retired, he was living on pot pies at lunchtime. I now keep a supply of frozen meals from Mobile Meals in the freezer. They are a nutritious and healthy choice for him. Most of all, he thinks they taste great!
